Microsoft Turkey’s Deputy General Manager Responsible for the Public Levent Erkan, with regard to patent law stated, “It was an issue we have been following for a long time. The laws are very important, now we are waiting for applications. We have a chance to see the more appropriate use of our own products on the property rights of the market.” Speaking at a press conference before the Microsoft Ankara Summit on February 15th, Erkan said: “As a company, we have put a lot of emphasis on the field of cyber security. In the last quarter of 2015 malware infection rate in Turkey was 42.6 percent. This is about 2.5 times higher than the world average. In the previous quarter, this figure was 32.6 percent.
